I am all about fresh flowers and flowers in general (call me an addict)!
Today I spent a few hours browsing the internet. To be honest, term internet is a bit too wide in this case. I was simply looking through a few really good flower blogs and got inspired to make my own flower arrangement. So I rushed to the nearest flower shop.
I could not resist temptation of taking a few pics of flowers in the flower shop. Even though it is just the beginning of Feburary flower shops can transport you instantly into the spring. Just look at all those gorgeous tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and roses.
Ok, it is time to look at my flower composition.

It is a very simple arrangement. It took me just a few minutes to get it done. The secret is in a substance called oasis. This is basically a green sponge that holds flowers in place and serves as a water source as well. You can get it in most flower shops for 1 or 2 pounds depends on how lucky you are.
For this arrangement I used 3 roses called Vuvuzel, three different types of tulips, oasis and a bit of foliage for the mass.

The first thing that you need to do is to cut a bit from the oasis. This material is very easy to cut and sculpture. I decided to simply cut one third, just enough for my small flower arrangement. Then I let oasis suck in a lot of water. I just placed it under the tub and it instantly absorbed enough water.
As soon as I had a wet oasis I started cutting flowers and sticking them in.
For this one I shortened flowers by one third. I started with tulips as they were plentiful, so even if I made a mistake I could easily take another stem, rather than think about what to do with a short flower and how to proceed with flower arrangement.
Although I did not have any problems with this composition.
After the first flower I put a second, then the third and in no time I had a perfect central piece.
